Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Albanian people who have been impacted by the 6.4-magnitude earthquake on 26th November in the northeast of the country. We deeply feel for all those who have lost family, friends and property as well as for the plight of those forced to remain without shelter due to after-shocks. It was the strongest earthquake to hit the country in 40 years and the strongest yet of 2019.
However, it is heart-warming to witness the response by the domestic services and international community. Rescue teams from Italy, Greece, Kosovo, Romania, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Israel are helping with the search efforts.
