Jan Jůn, who passed away in London on 23 July 2022 at the age of 77, was a popular member of the Prague Society; there was always wisdom in his humour, and humour in his wisdom. He was a Czech journalist who, after the Soviet invasion, moved to London where he was an editor on several journals such as Time and Tide, and also worked for Radio Free Europe. After 1989 he returned to the Czech Republic but remained London correspondent for Czech Radio. In 1999 he received the Ferdinand Peroutka Award for Journalism.
